Michael has worked on both the owner’s and contractor’s side of construction. His career spans multifamily, build-to-rent, commercial interiors and retail, from site feasibility and preconstruction through delivery, lease-up and disposition.
His work has included hard cost budgets for underwriting, design coordination, municipal approvals, GMP negotiations, quality assurance, monthly lender draw reviews and investor reporting. That background helps connect what is visible on site with the documents and decisions behind it.
At Transom, Michael applies that experience to independent site visits, construction draw reviews and property observations. The review gives equity partners a record of the work, the supporting documents and the items the team still needs to resolve.
An owner’s perspective
As a co-owner of coffee shops in the Atlanta area, Michael also works across site selection, lease negotiations, design and retail build-outs. He understands the decisions and tradeoffs that come with investing in a physical business.
